We move to a player and media storage from Yandex.
Some time you won't be able to download any video in the app. For the rest, video has to be played more reliably and smoothly. If you have any issues, especially outside Russian Federation, feel free to email us at web@tvrain.ru.
What's new?
Almost nothing. Because of our preparing for the big internal change, which let us save 1 million rubles per month.
For the rest:
- decided to show the authors / presenters in the articles.
- launched “Rain flows” - these are thematic “sub-channels”, alternative live broadcasts.
- video advertising in the player will become more reliable
- Authentication through Yandex and Mail.ru accounts
- The schedule now includes "premieres" and "live broadcasts"
- timecodes support in video player, ability to jump to desired part right from the TOC
- It's 2019, so we decided to show the dates of publication on every article or video. And even... What is currently on-air during playback (teleshow name from schedule).
- now you can filter huge teleshow list by adding some of them to "favorites", it will cut the usual path to your own preferred list
- There is new block "current search queries" as suggestions in in-app search.
- we have changed the look of the first screen
- now you can search video and news inside the app
- we have added speed video playback
- and there is a full news list for several days now
